Lactation Support

IBCLC-Informed Feeding Care Rooted in Function

Feeding your baby is supposed to be natural—but that doesn’t mean it always comes easily. If your baby is struggling to latch, feed efficiently, or gain weight, or if you’re feeling pain, frustration, or burnout, you’re not alone. These challenges are common—but they’re not always well understood.

At Oral Function Specialties, lactation support goes deeper than basic positioning or latch tips. As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), I combine clinical expertise with a whole-body lens, looking at the root causes behind feeding difficulties—including oral function, body tension, tongue and lip ties, and nervous system regulation.

Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or doing a combination, you’ll receive compassionate care tailored to your unique feeding journey.

We can help with:

  • Latch pain or nipple damage
  • Fussiness or popping off the breast
  • Poor milk transfer or long feeds
  • Reflux-like symptoms or gas
  • Slow weight gain
  • Bottle refusal or breast preference
  • Suspected tongue/lip ties
  • Nervous system regulation and body tension

We offer:

  • Thorough assessments of oral structure and function (including tongue/lip ties)
  • Guidance for both breast and bottle feeding
  • Support for reflux, milk transfer issues, fussiness, or shallow latch
  • A calm, collaborative environment where your experience is fully respected
  • You deserve care that sees the full picture. Our goal is to help your baby feed comfortably, efficiently, and thrive—while supporting your experience as a parent along the way.
